IS PLAVIX STILL A FIRST LINE TREATMENT FOR THOSE WITH STENTS? OR IS EFFIENT NOW THE DRUG OF CHOICE?


Clopidogrel (Plavix) and aspirin remain the primary treatment. Effient may be used if clopidogrel fails or if genetic testing indicates that clopidogrel may not be effective.
