Rapid heart rates can be either physiologically appropriate or
inappropriate (pathologic). Examples of physiologic appropriate sinus
tachycardia might be fast HR due to stress or caffeine. Pathologic
tachycardia can involve a wide spectrum of arrhythmias coming either
from the atria or ventricular locations.
