Reuters (8/2, Grens) reports that
research published in the American Journal of Cardiology suggests that
individuals who are more physically fit prior to undergoing bypass surgery may
be less likely to die during the surgery, or during the month following the
surgery. Investigators came to this conclusion after looking at data on nearly
600 patients who underwent bypass surgery.
