Elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP) implies likely need for medication’s to
control your BP. If elevations are
borderline high (130-140/80-90), I would suggest checking it at home. Consider weight loss, in addition to alcohol
and salt restrictions to help.
If frequent rechecks still show BP often in excess of
140/90, you will need to start medication and have a physical exam and lab
testing done.
